EMF-NET: Effects of the exposure to electromagnetic fields: from science to public health (ended March 2008)
A Coordination Action funded by the European Union under the Specific programme "Integrating and strengthening the ERA /Eurpean Research Area), Contract No. SSPE-CT-2004-502173
EMF-NET aimed to improve the coordination of the results of the research activities related to the biological effects of electromagnetic fields, considering also the potential risks related to exposure in the working environment (occupational exposure). The EMF-NET Consortium involved all coordinators of the EU funded active projects in FP5, of the main research projects at European national level (Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, UK), and of other international activities, such as the WHO EMF project and COST 281 Action, associations of industries and manufactures, regulatory bodies, scientific association, and trade union associations.
